Marutham Village Resort in Mamallapuram is an absolute gem! This traditional Tamil village-themed resort offers an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blends rural charm with modern comforts. From the enchanting bullock cart rides to the captivating cultural programs like Karakaattam, every moment here is a journey into the heart of Tamil culture. The cow farm, pumpset shower, and warm hospitality of the staff all contribute to the authenticity and warmth of the stay. My 1.5-day visit was far too short to fully savor everything this resort has to offer, and I'm already planning my return for a longer stay. It's a definite 5-star destination, and I can't wait to immerse myself in this cultural haven once again!

How to share this experience? What words can be used? Fantastic stay & service especially ambiance was too good. You have my full heart team. In a single day we had a lot of experiences like pottery, swimming pool, waterfall, games, sunset views, full greenery. OMG, we came around 10 people with 3 newborn kids & it is a very safe & friendly environment for them. We all had a great time here — must visit place. Requesting them to maintain the same.

What a fantastic stay we had at Marutham Village Resort! You can truly feel like you're in a village surrounded by greenery. Very calm, pollution-free environment. The restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly — especially Elaya Perumal, who supported us very well. The food tasted amazing, just like homemade. Rooms were neat and clean. The outdoor pumpset experience brought back childhood memories. The swimming pool and waterfall were well maintained. The cow and goat ghoshala was kept very clean — something I’ve never seen before. Pottery making was a great experience, with a dedicated person to teach. Palm leaf craft was also available. The evening “thallu vandi” dinner was a highlight — kothu parotta (veg & non-veg), kari dosa, kalakki, dosa, idly, idiyappam with coconut milk, plus Chinese and tandoori items — all with great music. Separate veg and non-veg counters was a nice touch. I truly enjoyed everything. Keep up the good service. Thanks ❤

This was one of the finest stays. I loved the ambience, pool, food, room, and the entire property with cultural activities. The street food was excellent. The pool with waterfalls was awesome. The lawn and walking area were pleasant. Evening cultural activities were excellent — I never had a chance to see Tamil traditional dance forms before. Overall, the stay and environment felt safe and secure.

We were 7 families getting together after almost half a decade — around 25 people including 11 kids aged 4 to 11. We chose Marutham based on word-of-mouth, and it turned out to be the best decision. From check-in, everything was seamless and well managed. The resort is designed like a traditional Tamil village, and the effort to maintain authenticity really shows. The kids had an amazing time with activities like farm animals, bullock cart rides, a well-maintained pool, arts and crafts, and open play areas. Evening cultural programs added to the experience. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and attentive. (No in-house bar, but outside alcohol is allowed.) We stayed in two houses with four rooms each and a central open area — comfortable, with AC, hot water, and all essential amenities.

Marutham Village offers a true village atmosphere with a well-designed natural environment. The gosala, with a good number of cows, is well maintained. There are three bathing options — pumpset, swimming pool, and waterfall — all of which are fantastic. A long walk through the paddy fields leading to a massive nearby lake is a beautiful experience. The food was delicious, served with personal care and affection. Coffee tasted great with pure cow milk and had a natural aroma. We especially enjoyed the pumpset bath. The village folk dance added charm to the entire experience. The room we stayed in was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. Most importantly, the entire experience was elevated by the affectionate and attentive service from the staff. Kudos to the team. I’m planning to visit again next year with my family and children.
