Marutham Village Resort in Mamallapuram is an absolute gem! This traditional Tamil village-themed resort offers an unforgettable experience that seamlessly blends rural charm with modern comforts. From the enchanting bullock cart rides to the captivating cultural programs like Karakaattam, every moment here is a journey into the heart of Tamil culture. The cow farm, pumpset shower, and warm hospitality of the staff all contribute to the authenticity and warmth of the stay. My 1.5-day visit was far too short to fully savor everything this resort has to offer, and I'm already planning my return for a longer stay. It's a definite 5-star destination, and I can't wait to immerse myself in this cultural haven once again!

How to share this experience?What words can be used? Fantastic stay & service especially ambiance was too good you have my full heart team in a single day we had a lot of experience like pottery, swimming pool, waterfall, games, sunset views, full greenery's Omg we came around 10 people with 3new born kids & it is very safe & friendly environment for them.we all had great time here, must visit place & pls requesting them to maintain the same.

What a fantastic stay we had in Marutham Village Resort - You can feel like a village surrounded by greenery. Very calm place pollution free environment. Restaurant staff have been more helpful and friendly "Elaya perumal" supported very well. The food taste was very nice and you can feel like home made . Room are very neat and clean. Outdoor - Pumpset experience is very nice and i remembered my childhood memories The swimming pool and waterfall was very neat and they maintained well feeding also very nice. Cow and goat Ghoshala they maintained very neat and clean which I had never seen. Pottery making is a very nice and they appointed one person to teach you how to do it. Likewise palm tree leave craft work also can be done in the same place. Finally evening dinner thallu vandi experience wow experience. I have never ever seen you can get kothu parathas both veg and non veg, kari dosai, kalakki, dosa, idly idiyappam with coconut milk and Chinese and thandoori items with lovely music you can have dinner. Good things is they using veg and non veg counter seperately. Really I have enjoyed lots and lots. Keep doing good service. Thanks❤

This was one of the finest stay. I loved the ambience, Pool, Food, Room, entire property with cultural activities etc. street food was perfect. Pool with Waterfalls are awesome. Lawn and walking area was nice. Evening Cultural activities are excellent. I never get a chance to see the Tamil traditional dance forms before. Overall stay and environment is safe and secure.

We were 7 families getting together under one roof after almost half a decade. We were around 25 ppl in total including about 11 kids ranging from ages 4 to 11. We chose Marutham basis some word of mouth recommendation and must say this was the best decision we took. Right from the check in process, everything was seamless and impeccable. The resort is designed to look like a traditional tamil village and a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the authenticity. The kids loved their two days in Marutham with a lot of activities to keep them occupied - farm animals, bullock cart ride, a well maintained pool, arts and crafts, open play area and what not. There was also some traditional music and arts programs in the evenings. The food was great (there is no bar in house but you can bring alcohol from outside) and the staff super friendly and attentive to requests. The houses (we had taken 2 houses, each with 4 rooms and having a central common open area) we stayed in were comfortable with air con, hot water and all the basic trappings you d expect.

Marutham village enjoys the advantage of exclusive village atmosphere. The entire village is designed in such a manner that the fertile village environ is ensured. The gosala with good number of cows maintained well. There were three options for taking bath. One in pumpset two in pool three in falls which is really fantastic. Long walk in the paddy field leading to massive lake nearby was really to be experienced for its happy moments. The food served was vey much delicious and served with personal care and affection. Coffee was tasty with pure cowmilk. Native fragrance. We enjoyed the bath near the pumpset. The village folk dance is commendable adding charm to village locale. The room we stayed was also very comfortable clean well maintained and comfortable. Last but not the least our entire happy experience as above has happened due to excellent affectionate service attention by the attentive and ever obliging staff team at the village. Kudos to all. And i am planning to visit withmy other family members with children next year. Thank you marutham.
